Cheryl is survived by her sister Robin Bernier of Bethel, her nephew Grayling Bernier Jr. (Kayla) of Naugatuck.

Southbury, CT – Cheryl L. Bernier, 67, of Southbury, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2021 at Wolcott View Manor following an extended illness.

Cheryl was born on August 6, 1953 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Donald “Red” and Florida (Begley) Bernier. Cheryl worked various jobs at St. Mary’s Hospital for over 30 years until her retirement in 2010 and most loved working in maternity. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, Southbury.
She was a lifelong New York Yankees fan. Cheryl was the queen of BINGO and looked forward to those Friday night games with her nephew. As a longtime fan of Steve Wilkos, she attended several tapings of the show with her late brother, Grayling. Cheryl especially enjoyed the many years with family and friends at their beach cottage in Milford.

Cheryl is survived by her sister Robin Bernier of Bethel; her nephew Grayling Bernier Jr. (Kayla) of Naugatuck; one aunt; and several cousins including her caregivers, Jim and Ann Begley of Wolcott. She was predeceased by two brothers, Raymond Bernier and Grayling Bernier Sr.
The family would like to thank Dr. Jega; the nurses and staff at Meridian Manor and Wolcott View Manor, and Seasons hospice for the love and care shown to Cheryl.
A Funeral Mass and committal will be held at a later date.
