WATERBURY – Daniel A. Oliver, age 49 of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, March 13, 2023.

Dan was born July 22, 1973, In Waterbury, CT, the son of Arnold and Raffaella (Tirino) Oliver of Oakville. He was raised in Oakville and was a graduate of Watertown High School. He also attended the University of CT and Central Connecticut State University and worked as an electrical estimator for Dinto Electric and the former Semac Co., in New Britain. Dan was a talented musician and enjoyed playing the guitar, drums, and keyboard. He spent many years playing guitar with the “The Shine”, a band he performed with in many local venues and opened for many big name bands throughout the U.S. Dan was an avid New York Yankees fan and was a member of the friends of Bill W. He was a parishioner of Saint Mary Magdalen Church in Oakville. Dan was a kind and gentle man who will live on in the memories of all those that he loved and who loved him in return.

Left to honor his legacy and treasure his memory, besides his parents, are several aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family members and many friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Oliver will be held on Monday, March 20, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Mary Magdalen Church, 14 Buckingham St., Oakville, CT 06779. Those planning to attend are kindly asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. Relatives and friends may visit with the Oliver family on Sunday afternoon, March 19, 2023, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Casey-O’Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main St., Oakville, CT 06779.
