Obituary: Daniel A. Piccirillo, 64, Of Naugatuck

He worked at Pratt & Whitney & spent 32 years at Sikorsky Aircraft. He loved & treasured his family above all but enjoyed many good friends.

NAUGATUCK, CT — (From Adzima Funeral Home): Daniel Anthony Piccirillo of Naugatuck passed away on October 28, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony (Tony) Piccirillo and Marie Santone Piccirillo.

Born August 30, 1959, he is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Nancy Pilgoste Piccirillo, sons, Neil Anthony, Adam Daniel (Alyssa), grandson, Nathan Daniel, grand dog, Mandy, sister, Jo-Anne Jakab ( Gary), brother-in-law, Michael Pilgoste, sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Pilgoste and several nieces and nephews; Tara Trigonis (Antonio) great- nephew, Grayson, James Trigonis (Ewa), Michelle Pilgoste and Kelly Jakab Muller (Jay) great- niece, AutumnRose and too many cousins and friends who are like family to name.

Danny worked at Pratt & Whitney for the past eight years until August when his health prevented it. He also spent 32 years at Sikorsky Aircraft which began upon graduation from CCSU. He loved & treasured his family above all but enjoyed many good friends. He was an avid golfer and had three holes in one, an accomplishment that he was very proud to achieve! Dan was a big Dallas Cowboys football fan, tried to attend opening day at Yankee Stadium with the guys each year and fancied himself to be a pretty good cook. He will be missed by many and not forgotten.

The family would like to thank all the doctors and his special care team at Yale New Haven.

Visitation on Thursday, Nov. 2 from 4 p.m. 7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford.

A Requiem Funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday, Nov. 3, 2023, at 10 a.m. meeting directly at the Carpatho- Russian Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist, 364 Mill Hill Avenue, Bridgeport. Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Stratford.
