Obituary: David V. Ambrose, 83, of Wolcott

A Navy veteran, he was the owner of Carolyn & Dave's Jewelry Company for many years until his retirement

David V. Ambrose, 83, of Wolcott, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, March 18, 2023.


David was born in Waterbury on December 5, 1939, the son of the late Dexter and Edith (DiPietro) Ambrose. He was a graduate of Croft High School, a graduate of the Computer Processing Institute of East Hartford and a member of the Y.M.C.A. David served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era. He was the owner of Carolyn & Dave’s Jewelry Company for many years until his retirement. David was an avid golfer and loved to play the piano.
He leaves his sister, Judy Forgione and her husband, John, “Fudge” of Waterbury and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Sandra Vitale, his life-long companion, Carolyn P. Zaza, and his loyal dog, Ginger.

Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial with the cremains present, will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 24, 2023 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 785 Highland Avenue, Waterbury. Everyone wishing to attend the Mass are kindly asked to meet directly at the Church. There are no calling hours. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury has been entrusted with David’s services. `
