David was an avid fisherman who shared many fishing adventures with friends and relatives over the years. He chartered boats many times from Point Judith & Glouster, MA, fished at a favorite vacation spot at Chase Pond in Wilmot Flat, NH, and frequented many of the local lakes and streams in Connecticut, including Twin Lakes, Bantam Lake, and Lake Quassapaug. David especially enjoyed visiting his cousin, Lisa Bossoli, in Venice, FL and his Uncle James (Jimmy) Lanese in Newfane, VT with whom he shared many good times.

David was a wonderful cook who enjoyed creating recipes with family and friends and sharing those meals together. He was also an avid gardener, who took great pride in planting and growing his own vegetables which he harvested and shared with family and friends at the end of each summer. David was a lover of nature and animals. He was especially fond of cats and owned several throughout his life. He also voluntarily cared for a feral colony for several years.

David worked at several jobs over the years, including Reymond’s Bakery. He was also a substitute science teacher and taught at Adult Education in the City of Waterbury. David took great pride in all of his jobs and especially his most recent job as sanitarian for the City of Waterbury where he was known and respected by many people throughout the City.

David was a passionate person who loved his family and friends deeply and was loved deeply in return. Over the last several years, David was the primary caregiver to his mother, Dolores, until her death last year, with whom he shared a special bond. He always had a smile on his face and would be the first person to show up, if you ever needed help. David will be missed dearly and remembered for his kindness, generosity, loyalty, great personality, ability to make people laugh but, above all, his loving heart.

He leaves his sisters Marlene D. Campbell and her husband, Craig, of Hummelstown, PA, Gloria Albert and her husband, Ronald M., of Waterbury, his nephews Adam Campbell and his wife, Michelle, of Mechanicsburg, PA, Skylar Campbell and his wife, Ashlynn, of Glenrock, PA., his niece Samantha Lanese of LA, CA, two great nephews, Vance and Sawyer Campbell and a great niece Shelby Jane Campbell.
