Dollyanne (Carrington) Martin, of Waterbury, was reunited with her husband and children in heaven on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, in the comfort of her niece’s home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Anthony Martin.

Dollyanne was born in Ridgely, Maryland on May 2, 1939, daughter of the late Henry and Marcella (MacKinnon) Carrington. For many years, Dollyanne worked at the University of Connecticut in the Waterbury branch, and after retirement enjoyed working as hostess at her brother’s restaurant, Mr. Steak. She was an avid ice skating and figure skating fan, and enjoyed traveling around the world to watch the world skating championships. Dollyanne also enjoyed volunteering at the Prospect Senior Center where she enjoyed playing cards with everyone, and being a member of their song birds group, as well as country line dancing.


Dollyanne leaves behind to cherish her memory her siblings, Dennis Carrington and his wife Frances of Hammond, LA, Darrell Carrington and his wife Ellyn of Vero Beach, FL, and Dianne Hollenbeck and her husband Ronald of Watertown, two sisters-in-law, Patricia Carrington of Middlebury, Amelia Coviello of Philadelphia, PA, and a brother-in-law, Joaquin Martin and his wife Marianne of Waterbury. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her two children, Todd Martin and Baby Tim Anthony Martin, as well as her brother, Donald W. Carrington and a brother-in-law, Nick Coviello.

Dollyanne’s family would like to thank everyone at the Harold Leever Center of Waterbury for all of the wonderful and thoughtful care they showed to her as well as a special thanks for Dr. Testa, Dr. Bowen and Dr. Medrano for all of the help they showed to her over the years.


Arrangements: All funeral services for Dollyanne are going to be held privately and at the convenience of the family. She will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury with her husband and sons. Chase Parkway Memorial, the Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, has been entrusted with handling Dollyanne’s funeral arrangements.
