Donna L. (Martino) McDermott, 70, of Naugatuck passed away peacefully on August 21, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. McDermott, Jr.

Donna was born on August 21, 1951 in Danbury, CT, daughter of the late Anthony and Carmella “Kay” (Petricelli) Martino. She was a graduate of Danbury High School and earned her Associate’s Degree from Briarwood College. Donna was a floral designer for Don’s Flowers in Danbury and later became a certified nurse’s assistant working for Kensington Green and Pomperaug Woods. She also did some accounting for many area businesses. She was a dedicated member of the Christ the King Church in Naugatuck and was a member of the Prospect Senior’s Club.

Donna leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Jessica McDermott of Naugatuck, brother, Anthony Martino and his wife, Sharon of Statesville, NC, grandson, Elliott Joseph Aspinwall of Naugatuck, step-daughter, Meredith Ingraham and her husband, Doug of Danbury and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements: A funeral service for Donna will be held on Thursday, August, 26, 2021 at 6:30 PM at Chase Parkway Memorial/Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT. Her burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be on Thursday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
