Eileen Maroney Obituary
Eileen T. Maroney, 86, of Naugatuck, passed away November 15, 2023. She was born October 2, 1937, a daughter to the late Patrick and Ellen (Cunningham) Hussey.
Eileen loved talking with others and making friends. She spent her early life tending to her children and her home, later moving on to many different jobs. She worked for Liberty Mutual, managed her brother’s drug store in Washington, CT where she loved talking to customers at the counter, and after retirement she worked for the Wolcott School System as a paraprofessional. She volunteered at the Waterbury Palace Theater in her later years and absolutely loved doing that. She also enjoyed spending time at her family vacation home in Charleston, RI.

Eileen is predeceased by her husband Edward R. Maroney, Sr. and her siblings: Dennis Hussey, Noreen O’Keefe, and Patricia Ann Demsey. Eileen leaves behind to cherish her memory her two children: John Maroney of Naugatuck and Edward R. Maroney Jr., of Mechanicsburg, PA, her grandchildren: Tyler Maroney and Kai Sayers, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Mass for Eileen will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 10:30 AM at St. Anthony’s Church, 4 Union City Rd., Prospect, CT 06712. Burial will immediately follow at All Saints Cemetery, 203 Spring Lake Rd, Waterbury, CT 06706.
