Obituary: Elba G. Alvarez, 78, of Waterbury

Elba G. Alvarez., age 78, of Waterbury, entered into eternal life on Monday November 30, 2020 at Waterbury Hospital. She was born on December 27, 1941, in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Loving mother of Ana, Maribel, Roman, Luis, Ramon Tiru all of Waterbury. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She loved to cook, go shopping especially at the Dollar Store and Walmart. What Elba loved the most was her family, and she was the family matriarch.

A Celebration of Elba’s Life will be held on Monday December 7, 2020 at Colonial, 270 W. Main Street, Waterbury at 12pm (noon). Viewing in the funeral home from 11-12pm. Interment will be at New Pine Grove Cemetery. With James R. Sanders as Funeral Director. COVID-19 mandates will be honored. Masks will be required.
