George V. Perugini
“Loving husband, father, grandfather & brother”
George Perugini, 83, of Oakville, entered into the gates of heaven on Friday, November 6, 2020, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Alba (Ciarlo) Perugini of sixty-one years.

George was born in Waterbury on February 14, 1937, son of the late Joseph and Caterina (Perugini) Perugini. Growing up in Oakville, George attended Watertown public schools and was a graduate of Watertown High School, class of 1955. Working in the tool making industry for over 45 years, George worked at Scovill Manufacturing, Siemon Dynamics and True Love Maclean until his retirement. An avid outdoorsman, George always loved tending to his garden full of fresh vegetables, as well as making homemade wine.
Besides his loving wife Alba, George leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Robert Perugini and his wife Mariellen of Charleston, SC, and Lisa Pieksza and her husband Michael of Middlebury. He also leaves behind his siblings, Julia Perugini, James Perugini, and Angelina Onalfo, all of Oakville, his three beloved grandchildren, Jennifer Perugini, M.D. of Charleston, SC, Anthony Perugini of Somerville, MA and Mikayla Pieksza of Middlebury, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Mario Perugini.

Arrangements: A funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, 8:45 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial, The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury to St. Mary Magdalen Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Watertown. Calling hours will be held on Monday evening, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
