THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF GEORGETTE FINNEMORE

WATERTOWN, CT - Georgette “GiGi” (Maerkle) Finnemore, age 75 passed away after a long illness on December 7, 2020. She was the wife of late Norris (Duke) Finnemore.

Georgette was born February 5, 1945 in Huntington, NY to the late George and Claire Maerkle. After moving to Connecticut, she graduated from Wilby High School and Post College with certificate in bookkeeping. GiGi worked as a bookkeeper for Industrial Development Group for many years. Besides raising a family, she loved working in her flower garden, going to New York City to shop or see a Broadway show. She understood the value of life by making each holiday special and went on frequent vacations. She was a member of the First Congregational Church, Watertown. She will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish the many memories of Georgette and carry on her legacy are her two sons; Clayton Finnemore of Thomaston and Kenny Finnemore of Oakville. She also leaves behind, four grandchildren and several grandchildren. Georgette is pre- deceased by a son Scott Finnemore, two sisters Barbara Maerkle and Patricia Edwards.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a funeral service for GiGi will be held privately at the convenience of the family with a burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Watertown. The O’Neill Funeral Homehas been honored to assist the Finnemore family during this difficult time.
