Obituary: Gerald R. Bousquet, 96, of Beacon Falls
He was a member of the Naugatuck Running Club, running in three New York City marathons. He also was a member of the Hop Brook Golf Club.

Beacon Falls, CT - Gerald R. Bousquet, 96, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at his home. He was the husband of the late Eileen (Walsh) Bousquet, to whom he was married for 62 years.
Mr. Bousquet was born October 8, 1926, in Waterbury, the son of the late George and Helen (Nickodemski) Bousquet. After graduating from New Haven College with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. After being honorably discharged, he was employed with Scovill Century Brass and worked in various trades including plumbing, electrical, and woodworking.

Mr. Bousquet had built his home in Beacon Falls in 1953 and was a communicant of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church. He loved golf, long-distance running, model airplanes, and playing guitar. He was a member of the Naugatuck Running Club, running in three New York City marathons. He also was a member of the Hop Brook Golf Club, and was a longtime supporter of Beacon Hose Company No. 1, where his son was Chief.
Mr. Bousquet is survived by his son Doug of Beacon Falls, his daughter Diane Hall and her husband Andy and their daughter Nicole of Meriden; his grandsons Kevin Hall and Nicholas Bousquet; his longtime friends Ray Derrich, Steve Rosler, Bill Taylor and Debbie from Hop Brook. In addition to his wife and his parents, he is predeceased by his sons Gerald W. and James Bousquet; as well as his daughter-in-law Nicole (Scott) Bousquet.

Arrangements – Visitation for Mr. Bousquet will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 7 pm at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. His funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Thursday morning at 9:30 and proceed to St. Michael for a Mass at 10 am. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. James Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Beacon Hose Co. No.1, 35 N. Main St., Beacon Falls, CT 06403.
