She passed away at the Glendale Center in Naugatuck. She was the beloved wife of the late Leonardo Clissa who predeceased her in 2000.

WATERBURY - Giuseppina (Petta) Clissa, 89, of Waterbury was reunited with her husband in heaven on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at the Glendale Center in Naugatuck. She was the beloved wife of the late Leonardo Clissa who predeceased her in 2000.
Giuseppina was born in Castelmauro, Campobasso, Italy on October 16, 1932, daughter of the late Lorenzo and Benedetta (Trolia) Petta. She came to the United States in 1967 and and worked in metal fabrications for over 19 years before she retired. She enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family and friends.
Giuseppina leaves to cherish her memory her three brothers, Alex Petta and his wife Nicoletta of Waterbury, CT, Antonio Petta and his wife Antonietta of Oakville, CT and Giulio Petta and his wife Ginette of Ocala, FL . She also leaves her sisters-in-law Maria Petta, Michelina Petta, Marylou Petta and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Pat, Nicola, and John Petta and one sister, Guilia Petta.

Arrangements: A funeral will be held on Monday, March 14, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial, The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury. A calling hour will be held Monday morning from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
