April 20, 1935 ~ July 26, 2021 (age 86)


TERRYVILLE, CT - passed away Monday July 26, 2021. Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother left us peacefully at his home. He was born in West Rutland, Vermont and resided in Terryville. Henry was the son of Casimir and Stella (Tyminski) Grabowski.

Henry was a graduate of Central Connecticut State University and served as the Director of Guidance at Plainville High School from 1960 – 1991. He was elected to the Plymouth Board of Education, was a trustee of St. Casimir Church and a member of the Lyceum Building Committee.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores (Govotski), with whom he recently celebrated 65 years of marriage, their children, Susan Salesses (Peter) of Florida, Kathy Martinelli of Bristol, Jean Lombard of Farmington, Stephen Grabowski of Northbridge, MA, John Grabowski and Karen Grabowski, both of Terryville. His legacy of grandchildren includes Matthew Salesses, Lisa (Matt) Killeen, Daniel (Vivian) Salesses, Dominic and Michelle Martinelli, Kimberly (Ron) Bozorth, Kristin (Michael) Bouchard, and Brendon, Justin, Tyler and Sydney Grabowski, and great-grandchildren, Grace and Kai Salesses, Maximus and Lillian Bozorth and Madeline Bouchard. He also leaves his sister, Helen Grabowski of Terryville and his nieces Lorraine Santopietro and Mary Fusco. Henry was predeceased by his sisters, Josephine Delekta and Theresa Grabowski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Casimir Church in Terryville on Thursday at 11AM followed by a private burial service. There will be no calling hours. Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St., Terryville is assisting the family with arrangements. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
