Obituary: Ireny Silva, 71, of Naugatuck

NAUGATUCK, CT - (From Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home) Ireny Silva, 71, the widow of Manoel DaSilva, died peacefully Monday at Waterbury Hospital.

Ireny was born on July 22, 1949 in Mutum, Brazil a daughter of the late Joao and Maria (Silva) Sobrinho.

Ireny is survived by her daughter, Renata Nascimento and her husband, Carlos Nascimento; her son, Adalberto DaSilva and his wife, Giovanna DaSilva; her son, Agezandro DaSilva and his wife, Eliene DaSilva; her son, Haroldo DaSilva; her 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and her brothers and sisters in Brazil.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00am at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 2071 Baldwin Street, Waterbury.

Everyone is asked to please meet directly at church.

Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck.

Calling hours are Sunday from 4-6pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.

All services require everyone to wear a facial covering and to adhere to social distancing guidelines.
