Loving Wife and Mother
Jane A. (LoSchiavo) DeVito, age 90, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 10, 2022. She was the loving wife of the late Louis J. DeVito, Sr.

Born in Waterbury, CT on July 28, 1931, Jane was the daughter of the late Peter and Josephine (Cioccia) LoSchiavo. She was a graduate of Wilby High School and a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. She worked for Heminway Corporation in her earlier years and for General Electric Corporation where she worked as a bookkeeper. Above all, Jane was a devoted wife and mother. She kept a pristine home and loved to cook and bake for her family. She bowled in the local “Windy League”, was an avid fan of the UCONN Mens and Womens Basketball teams and enjoyed playing cards with family and friends.
Jane is survived by her sons Louis J. DeVito, Jr. of Boston, MA and Joseph A. DeVito of Bethany, CT. She also leaves several generations of nieces and nephews. In addition to Louis, Sr., her beloved husband of 67 years, Jane was predeceased by her brother Gustave LoSchiavo and her sisters Geraldine Bergantino and Flora DiStasio.

Jane’s funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 10:30am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 785 Highland Ave. Waterbury. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
