Jeanne M. (Hayes) Carlson, 95, of Naugatuck, was entered into the gates of heaven on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Jeanne was born in Waterbury on October 27, 1927, daughter of the late William and Lena (Bessette) Hayes. Jeanne was a graduate of Leavenworth High School and worked for Risdon Manufacturing for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed knitting having made numerous hats, scarfs, mittens and slippers for a countless number of charities, organizations, friends and family.

Jeanne leaves behind to cherish her memory her four children, Patricia Silva of Naugatuck, Mark Carlson and his significant other, Barbara Koerner of Manassas, VA, Elaine Lackman and her husband Jack of Terryville, and Allen Carlson Jr. and his significant other, Tammy Hescock of Naugatuck. She also leaves behind her eight grandchildren, Jennifer Carlson Abadi, Lisa Anderson and her husband Thomas, Jesse Silva and his spouse Dana, Toni Lynn Carson, Richard Cochrane, Jessica Jordan and her husband Andrew, Megan Carlson and her partner Luke Gibbons, Dylan Carlson, eight great grandchildren, Bailey, Paige, Madisyn, Quinn, Ryder, Ava, Nora, and Alina; and her best and special friend Beverly Weid of Naugatuck. She was predeceased by her two siblings, William Hayes, and Elaine “Tootsie” Santa Maria.

Arrangements: Calling hours for Jeanne will be held on Friday June 23, 2023 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial the Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury. A funeral service will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
