Naugatuck, CT - John J. Gomez, 61, died unexpectedly on April 18, 2022 at his home.
John was born April 26, 1960 in Waterbury, CT a son of Marilyn E. Oris and the late Joseph L. Gomez. John lived in Naugatuck for the past 5 years and before that spent time all over the country, predominantly California and Hawaii. John believed in living life to the fullest. He could always be found having fun and enjoying himself. Many would describe him as a very generous man. He was always there to help a friend in need.

In addition to his mother, John is survived by his daughters, Samantha Gomez (son in law, Rafael “Rafa” Anderson) and Karley Gomez; his grandson, Koa Don Anderson, who is expected soon; his sister, Laurene Gomez and his brother, Lawrence Gomez; his 2 nephews, 1 niece, 1 grandniece, several cousins; his former wives, Donna A. Aubertin and Katty Chang and his best friend, Scott Anderson.
A Graveside Service will be Thursday at 11:00am at Prospect Cemetery, 1 Union City Road, Prospect. Everyone attending is asked to please meet directly at the cemetery. There are no calling hours and arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
