“Beloved son, fiancé, brother, grandson, nephew, & friend”

Josué Alicea Tirado, 19, of Waterbury, became an angel in heaven on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, after sustaining injuries from a motor vehicle accident. He was the loving fiancé to Diane Solis whom he was going to marry this Friday.

Josué was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, on January 15, 2003, son of Helga Tirado and Josue Alicea. Josué was a graduate of Waterbury Career Academy, and was currently in the U.S. Army National Guard. He enjoyed playing basketball, baseball and football. But most importantly he enjoyed attending car meets. He loved looking at different cars and attending car shows. He also was a member of CTVIP and a leader of the CT Maniacs. His ultimate goal in life was to work for the FBI and make his family proud. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, epecially to celebrate and party big.


Besides his parents, Helga Tirado and Josue Alicea of Waterbury, Josué leaves behind to cherish his memory his fiancé, Diane Solis of Waterbury, and his siblings, Crystal Trinidad Tirado, Angelia Alicea Tirado, and Yovanniel Rodrigeuz Tirado, all of Waterbury. He also leaves behind his grandparents, Josefina Rodriguez and Manuel Tirado from Waterbury, uncle and aunt, Hector and Angelica Cajigas from Puerto Rico, and cousins, Amanda Martinez, Daniela Chalker, H. Miguel, H. Luis, H. Manuel, H. José and H. Francisco Cajigas, as well as his godparents, Lizmary Vargas and Rey Bonilla, and many more family and friends that he loved and whom loved him back.

Arrangements: A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022, 10:00 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial, the Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury. Burial with full military honors will follow at New Pine Grove Cemetery in Waterbury. Calling hours will be held Friday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial.
