Obituary: Judith Ellen 'Judy' Anderson, 81, Of Naugatuck

Judith Ellen "Judy" Anderson, 81, died peacefully on September 17, 2023 at Waterbury Hospital.

Judy was born August 20, 1942 in Bridgeport, CT daughter of the late Stuart and Dorothy (Waters) Anderson. Judy graduated from Notre Dame Catholic High School in Fairfield and from Butter Business School in Bridgeport and went on to work as a paralegal secretary at the law firm of Florek & O'Neil for over 45 years, retiring in 2013. Judy loved baking, knitting and visiting wineries.

Judy was active in the Naugatuck politics for over 50 years, having served as the chairman and secretary of the Republican Town Committee. Judy was a former burgess and was presently serving as town treasurer.

Judy's family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Krishna Sury, for the great care that he provided and Vivian Fusco, for being there for the family.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Charmaine (Anderson) Renzoni and her companion, Howard Doran; her grandson, Daniel J. Renzoni, III. all of Naugatuck, CT; her nephew, Stuart Anderson of Texas and her niece, Shannon Michaels of Alaska. In addition to her parents, Judy was predeceased by her brother, William Anderson.

Family and friends will gather to honor and celebrate Judy's life on Friday, September 29, 2023 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
