She attended St. Francis School in Naugatuck, and Naugatuck High School. She graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Special Education. She was employed at Southbury Training School as a State School Teacher, working as a classroom teacher and eventually as a supervising teacher, for 32 years, until her retirement in 2011.

She was very socially active and had many lifelong friends from the school, and maintained deep personal relationships with joy and humor throughout her life. People loved to be around her because she always had an unassuming, gentle, calm spirit.

She loved hiking, biking, kayaking, traveling, dogs, wildlife, and sports of all types - especially the UConn Huskies. She was always ready for a new adventure.

A graveside service will be held 2 October 2021 at the new Lakes Road Cemetery in Bethlehem CT at 11:00 AM. Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. To leave an online condolence please visit www.munsonloveterefuneralhome....
