Kim Marie Curtin, 65, of Waterbury, entered into the gates of heaven on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Waterbury Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the loving wife of the late Jimmy Edwards.

Kim was born in Waterbury on September 30, 1958, a daughter of the late Henry J. and Ruth (Mueller) Curtin. Kim was a graduate of Holy Cross High School, class of 1976, and worked for Cadi Company of Naugatuck for over thirty years until her retirement about eight years ago. What meant most to Kim was spending time with her family, especially around the holidays, and her close group of girlfriends.

Kim is survived by her siblings, Karen Curtin of Waterbury, Kathy Darigis and her husband Robert of Middlebury, John Curtin and his wife Cheri of Clover, SC, and James F. Curtin and his wife Liz of Prospect. She also leaves behind her two nieces and two nephews, Melissa Cochran and her husband Sean of CA, Jamie Persampieri and her husband Peter of Stamford, Ryan Curtin and Marra Juliani of Milford, and Thomas Curtin of Plantsville; a great nephew, Luke Persampieri and a great niece, Maeve Persampieri. She was predeceased by her beloved brother-in-law, Rocco A. Capozzi, Kathy’s husband.

Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 29, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be held privately and at the convenience of the family on a later day and time. Calling hours for Kim will be held Sunday afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Chase Parkway Memorial, the Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury.
