Mrs. Lillian M. (Bucci) Cialfi, 87, of Waterbury, beloved wife of the late Delio A. Cialfi, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at the VITAS Inpatient Unit at Saint Mary’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Lillian was born in Waterbury on November 10, 1934, daughter of the late Alessandro and Marina (Terni) Bucci and was a lifelong resident of Waterbury. She was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School and was employed by Uniroyal for many years until her retirement. Lillian enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her three grandchildren whom she adored. She was a communicant of St. Leo the Great Church, Mary Mother of the Church Parish.


Lillian leaves behind to cherish her memory her two children, Michael A. Cialfi and his wife Sheri of Cheshire, and Denise M. Woodhouse and her husband Ken of Glastonbury. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Thomas Woodhouse and his wife Destiny, Michelle Woodhouse, Kelly Woodhouse, her twin sister, Dolores Hajjar and her husband George, a sister Natalie Laudisi, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Eva Longo, and her brothers Romeo Sufferdini, and Joseph Bucci. She will be greatly missed by her children and all who knew her.

Lillian’s family would like to recognize and thank Deborah and Jennifer at WCAAA for their support and assistance, and give a special thank you to those who helped care for Lillian, especially her caregiver Jane, and all those at the VITAS Inpatient Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital.


Arrangements: A funeral will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022, 8:45 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial, the Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, to St. Leo the Great Church, Mary Mother of the Church Parish, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury. Calling hours will be held Sunday afternoon from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
