Linda Jean Graben, died Friday, August 18, 2023. She fought her cancer courageously for several years. She was 66.
Linda was born November 26, 1956 in Tucson, AZ the daughter of the late Ralph Graben and Barbara (Kelsey) (Graben) Sousa. As a child she and her parents lived on several Air Force bases throughout the United States.

After her father died in California in the mid-1960s, Linda and her mother returned to Naugatuck. Linda attended local schools, and upon graduating from Naugatuck High School, enrolled at the University of Connecticut where she earned a Bachelor's degree in psychology.
Upon graduation Linda travelled to Europe, living and working in Italy and Germany. She returned to Connecticut in the late 1980s where she held various positions, including admissions director at several nursing homes. Deciding to work for herself in 2013, she opened Nutmeg Bookkeeping and Tax Service.

Linda enjoyed music, reading, cooking, gardening and the outdoors.
Her stepfather, Frank Sousa, died in 2008. Her mother, Barbara Sousa, died in 2021. Linda is survived by her aunt, Dolores McKee of Naugatuck, and several cousins and step-cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 12 p.m. at Grove Cemetery, Cross St., Naugatuck. Everyone attending is asked to please meet directly at the cemetery. There are no calling hours and arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
