Obituary: Linda Mary Helen Doelling, 63, of Naugatuck

Naugatuck, CT - Linda Mary Helen Doelling, 63, beloved wife of over 44 years of Kurt John Doelling, died unexpectedly on May 12, 2022 at Art of Animation Resort, Walt Disney World, Florida.

Linda was born August 11, 1958 in Bridgeport, CT daughter of the late Harry and Barbara Skinner. As a child and teenager, most of her life was spent in Bridgeport, where she attended Blackham Middle School and Harding High School. A brief time in Linda’s childhood was spent in St. Petersburgh, Florida.

A lifelong Mets fan, Linda enjoyed visits to Shea Stadium and Citifield. She was also fond of gardening.

In addition to her husband Kurt, Linda is survived by her daughters, Nichole Doelling of Naugatuck, CT and Tina Doelling of Waterbury, CT and her brother, Michael Skinner of Bristol, CT.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 20, 2022 at 11:00am at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Road, Naugatuck. Everyone attending is asked to please meet directly at church. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. At Linda’s request, there will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. In lieu of flowers and to honor Linda’s memory, donations are requested to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) at www.jdrf.org/donate.
