Lucien Tremblay, age 94, of Plantsville, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2023 at LiveWell in Plantsville. He was the beloved husband of the late Lucille (Racine) Tremblay.

Lucien was born on January 7, 1929 in Shawinigan, Quebec, Canada, a son of the late Joseph and Eleanore (Therrien) Tremblay. Before his retirement in 1994, he worked as a polisher and buffer for International Silver Company for 23 years and later as a machine operator for the Siemon Company for 12 years. He was an avid golfer and played in leagues at the Western Hills and Crestbrook golf courses. Lucien enjoyed playing Cribbage with his daughters and was a Pool Shark in his younger days. He and his wife Lucille enjoyed many adventures with their dearest friends, Celeste and Don. His family and friends will truly miss his sense of humor.

Lucien is survived by his daughters, Joanne Tremblay Jackson and her wife, Dr. Katherine Wood of Burlington, CT; Sylvie Morin and her husband, Gregory of Plantsville, CT; four grandchildren, Elijah Tremblay Jackson and his wife, Molinda, Monique Morin, Simone Morin and Nicole Pelletier; sister, Gabrielle (Tremblay) Bellemare of Canada and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by thirteen siblings.

Lucien’s family would like to sincerely thank the staff of LiveWell for the exceptional care given to him. LiveWell is a residence and Alzheimer’s and Dementia Research Center.

Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at the Shrine of St. Anne, 515 South Main St., Waterbury, CT. Entombment of his cremains will follow at the Calvary Garden Mausoleum. There will be a short visitation at the church from 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Chase Parkway Memorial/Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT has been entrusted with his arrangements.
