Lydia (Correia) Keith, 91, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 10, 2023 at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was the wife of the late Arnold Keith.

Lydia was born in Waterbury, CT on August 10, 1931, a daughter of the late Joao de Sousa and Maria de Conceicao (Tome) Correia. She was a graduate of Maloney School and Wilby High School. Before her retirement, she worked as a receptionist for Berco Manufacturing and later as a cashier for Stop & Shop for 15 years. She loved all animals.

Lydia is survived by her siblings, John Correia and his wife, Lucille of Waterbury, Wilhelmina Plourde and her husband, Joseph of Waterbury, Irene DiFronzo of Waterbury, Leonard Correia and his wife, Cynthia of Oakville, Joseph Correia and his wife, Carol of Naugatuck and Virginia Scozzafava and her husband, John of Waterbury and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Roy and Americo Correia.

Arrangements: Lydia’s funeral will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT to Our Lady of Loreto Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. A calling hour will be held on Friday morning from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Lydia’s memory may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
