Obituary: Lylan (Minacci) Soudier, 86, Formerly of Torrington

Lylan was an elementary school teacher and homemaker, then later in life she moved to Chagrin Falls, here she lived for the last 10 years.

Lylan (Minacci) SOUDIER (nee Minacci) age 86, beloved wife of the late Victor; loving mother of Renee Diosdado (husband Stephen) and Celeste Asmar (husband Peter); devoted grandmother of Alex Soudier (wife Annie) and Olivia Asmar; cherished daughter of the late Leo and Marcella (nee Borra) Minacci.

Lylan was born in Torrington, Connecticut on August 10, 1935, and passed away on July 16, 2022. After graduating from Torrington High School in 1953, she earned a bachelor’s degree from Danbury State Teacher’s College and a master’s degree from the University of Connecticut.

Lylan was an elementary school teacher and homemaker, then later in life she moved to Chagrin Falls, here she lived for the last 10 years. Lylan was very sociable and friendly, and she never knew a stranger. She was a thoughtful lady who will be missed by those whose lives she touched.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, with the cortege leaving from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, CT to St. Peter Cemetery, 236 East Pearl Rd., Torrington, CT for a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
