She graduated from St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing, Glace Bay, Nova Scotia as a Registered Nurse and then worked as a staff nurse.

WATERBURY- Mabel J. Daisomont, 89, formerly of Candlewood Knolls, New Fairfield, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at her home in Waterbury. Mabel was born on March 23, 1931 in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada a daughter to the late John and Dolena (Miles) Jamael.
She graduated from St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing, Glace Bay, Nova Scotia as a Registered Nurse and then worked as a staff nurse at the Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City. It is there in New York City that she married her husband, Robert G. Daisomont on July 2, 1955.

Besides her loving husband Robert, she leaves behind two sons, Robert Daisomont, Jrand his wife Lorna of Cheshire and Ronald Daisomont of Bridgeport; Three grandsons, Robert Daisomont III of Middlefield, Jeffrey Ingerson of Kenilworth, NJ, and Jamey Ingerson of New London. Eight Great-Grandchildren also survive her.
Funeral Services will be held for Mrs. Daisomont on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 4:00 PM in the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main Street, 06410 with visitation beginning at 3:00 PM, one hour before the service. A private graveside service in Mountainview Cemetery, New Fairfield, will be held at the convenience of the family.
