Union, NJ-Maria Campos, age 62, passed away at Yale New Haven Hospital on Wednesday November 30, 2022.
Born in Portugal on October 22, 1960, she was the daughter of Albertina (DaSilva) Campos and the late Manuel M. DeCampos. She was a graduate of Naugatuck High School and Briarwood College. Maria had worked as a travel agent for Americana Travel in Newark, NJ. She enjoyed vacationing, travel, and was very close to her family.
Besides her mother, Maria leaves her longtime partner Manuel Coelho of New Jersey; her brother Domingos Campos and her sister Piedade “Debbie” Monteiro, both of Naugatuck; her several nieces and nephews; Carlos (Jordana), Monica, Paulo, Kaitlin, and Alex; her great niece Sofia; her great nephews Lucas and Logan; and many cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday December 5, 2022 from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 2071 Baldwin Street, Waterbury. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck.
