She was a talented artist, seamstress, and quilter; she was the proud co-owner of The Calico Mouse Gift Shoppe with her sister.

TORRINGTON, CT - Marie LaMonica Salwocki of Keystone Place, Torrington passed away in peace February 21, 2021 at the age of 81. She rejoined her beloved husband Pete of 45 years. Born June 2, 1939 in Avon CT., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Angie (Formica) LaMonica.
Marie graduated from Canton high School and Endicott College. She was a talented artist, seamstress, and quilter. She was the proud co-owner of The Calico Mouse Gift Shoppe with her wonderful sister Ellie. Marie and Pete loved the many years and friends they made while they owned and operated The Bakerville Store. She was an active member of the Harwinton Congregational Church. It was there she was blessed to meet her treasured friends Joan Gangloff, Marilyn Ruot, Muriel Popham, and Lois Kelley who faithfully played cards every Thursday for years and years and saw each other through life's ups and downs.

Marie is survived by her daughter Cindi Bierce and husband Rick, Kim Marfyak and husband Todd and beloved grandchildren Scott and Riley Breakell and dear siblings Ellie Kelly and John LaMonica.
