Obituary: Marilyn J. Wargo, 89, Of Naugatuck
Marilyn lived in Naugatuck all of her life and was a member of the Naugatuck Women's Club.

Marilyn J. Wargo, 89, wife of Michael Wargo, died peacefully on January 4, 2023 at Waterbury Hospital.
Marilyn was born May 16, 1933 in Waterbury, CT daughter of the late Walter and Dagmar (Carlson) Gesseck and lived in Naugatuck all of her life. She graduated from Naugatuck High School, Class of 1951, was a member of the Naugatuck Women’s Club and she enjoyed gardening, bingo and trips to the casino.

In addition to Michael, her husband of 70 years, Marilyn is survived by her son, Michael Wargo, Jr. and his wife, Kathleen (McKinstry) Wargo; her daughter, Linda Wargo; her granddaughter, Sarah (Wargo) Frank and her husband, Keith Frank; her great granddaughters, Stella and Addison Frank; her brother in law and sister in law, Alec Wargo and Ilse Wargo; her sister in law, Jean (Wasdo) Wargo and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck. Calling hour will be Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
