Beacon Falls-Marion Joan (Blyman) Barksdale, age 86, widow of Ronald H. Barksdale, passed away peacefully on Sunday March 5, 2023 at Shady Knoll Health Center in Seymour.
Born in Trenton, NJ on December 5, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Charles P. and Frances (Pelc) Blyman. Marion was a longtime resident of Beacon Falls and had retired from Bank of America. She was a devout Catholic and was a member of St. Michael’s Church where she was past treasurer of the parish Ladies Guild. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, and making bologna sandwiches with the Ladies Guild for the needy.
Marion is survived by her sons, Charles “Chuck” Barksdale and Gregory Barksdale and his wife Nicole, both of Beacon Falls; and her three grandchildren, Breanna, Charles and Ronald. She was predeceased by her sister Charlotte.
Visitation will be held on Thursday March 9, 2023 from 9-11 a.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street in Naugatuck.
