Martin A. Sabolchik, Jr.
“Beloved brother-in-law, uncle and great uncle”
Martin A. Sabolchik, Jr., 78, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 13, 2025 after a long battle with symptoms of schizophrenia.
Martin was born in Derby, CT on June 15, 1946, a son of the late Martin A. and Agnes (Miskowicz) Sabolchik, Sr. He was a graduate of Shelton High School Class of 1965. He lived with his brother, Walter, and his wife, Judy, in Naugatuck for over 25 years until Walter became ill and had to place Martin in Beacon Brook Health Center in Naugatuck.

Martin was a gentle soul, an all-around sweet and good person, and was always smiling. It takes so much strength to keep fighting through every day with schizophrenia. If you have schizophrenia, know that you are strong for all that you cope with on a daily basis. He loved his family and all of the family pets, especially their dog, Brandy.
He leaves his sister-in-law, Judy Sabolchik of Naugatuck, a niece, Crystal Dowd of Madison, CT., a nephew, Walter Smith and his wife, Becky, of Pensacola, FL., and a great nephew, Devin Guimaraes of Cheshire, CT. He was predeceased by his brother, Walter J. Sabolchik, and a sister, Donna Sabolchik.
Arrangements: All services for Martin are private. There are no calling hours. 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT. has been entrusted with assisting the family with Martin’s services.
