“Beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and Poppy”

Michael Cronin, 60 of Naugatuck, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday November 26, 2022. He was the loving husband of Jennifer (Mulligan) Cronin of 38 years.
Michael was born in Mineola, New York on February 9, 1962, a son of the late Lawrence and Jeanne (Evans) Cronin.

In 1991, Michael, along with his family moved from their home on Long Island, New York settling in Naugatuck, CT. He worked as a printer for more than 40 years, most recently working for GHP Media in West Haven for over 10 years. Michael loved handicapping horse races with his brothers, was an avid Jets and Mets fan, and he always looked forward to spending his summer vacations with his family on the Jersey Shore. He was known as Poppy to his grandsons, and could always be caught sneaking them candy from his stash.

Besides his wife, Jennifer, he is also survived by his two daughters, Julie Hamed and her husband, Osama, of Waterbury, and Sarah Martin and her husband, Michael, of Bristol; his loving grandsons, Sami and Kadin Hamed; brothers, Lawrence (Marjorie), Kevin (Patricia), James (Maureen), John (Susan), Scott (Zeny), Brian (Joanne), and Daniel Cronin (Lucy), and a sister, Mary Jeanne Lane; and loving uncle to twenty two nieces and nephews, and twenty nine grand nieces and nephews.


Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck. Anyone wishing to attend the Mass is asked to meet directly at the Church. Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury.
