Obituary: Michael John Brich Jr., 73, Of Naugatuck

He retired from Anco Tool in Watertown, where he worked as a toolmaker, and worked at GAR Manufacturing in Danbury and TIMEX in Watertown.

Michael John Brich Jr., 73, of Naugatuck, died Saturday, April 20th, 2024 at Beacon Brook Health Center after a long illness.

Michael was born in Waterbury September 27th, 1950, son of the late Michael John and Mary Ann (Franek) Brich Sr. He retired from Anco Tool in Watertown where he worked as a toolmaker. He also previously worked at GAR Manufacturing in Danbury as a machinist and at TIMEX in Watertown where he started his apprenticeship and career as a toolmaker.

Michael leaves his brother William E. Brich and his wife Julia Brich of Rancho Cucamonga, CA. and his sister Linda Doerr and her husband Dennis Doerr of Chittenango, NY. He is also survived by nieces and nephews on both his mother’s and father’s side of the family.

Michael’s favorite hobbies before his illness were fishing and swimming at the YMCA in Naugatuck, which he did regularly. He also loved reading the scriptures going to church.

He had great faith and a deep love for his Savior, Jesus Christ. He was a very loving brother and will be missed by his family members.

A Graveside Service will be held Friday, May 10th, 2024 at 11 a. m. at Grove Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. Friends may visit from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street Naugatuck.
