Obituary: Michelle M. Shortsleeve, 50, Of Naugatuck

Michelle M. Shortsleeve, 50, beloved wife of Rodney Shortsleeve, passed away with her family by her side on Friday, December 2, 2022, at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. Michelle was born on December 15, 1971 in Fort Knox, KY, to June O'Brien and the late Keith Porath.

Michelle took pride in working in her yard and always had some kind of project going on at home. Her home was always a welcoming place for family and friends and she cherished visits with the people she loved. Michelle greatly enjoyed playing games and took joy in all the holiday seasons.

In addition to her husband, she leaves behind her sons, Joshua and Justin Shortsleeve; and her brother, Vinny Porath.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow Street. A Memorial Service will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
