Obituary: Mrs. Dorothy (Robinson) Sydoriak 94, of Watertown
She was raised in Naugatuck, graduated from Naugatuck High School and received her degree in nursing.

WATERTOWN – Dorothy B. (Robinson) Sydoriak, age 94, of Watertown, beloved wife of the late Michael Sydoriak, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 16 th 2022 at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit of Saint Mary’s Hospital surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.
Dorothy was born October 17 th , 1927 in Waterbury, CT, daughter of the late Frederick and Vera (Mailman) Robinson. She was raised in Naugatuck, graduated from Naugatuck High School and received her degree in nursing from the Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing. Dorothy spent many years working as an R.N. at Waterbury Hospital and then later in private medical offices as well as providing care to patients as a private duty nurse.

Mrs. Sydoriak was a member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church where she served on the Vestry, Sunday school teacher, and annual church fair. She was a member of the Waterbury Hospital Alumni Nursing Association and Daughters of the Nile. Dorothy enjoyed baking and reading as well as traveling, but was always happiest while spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She lived a full and beautiful life blessed by the love of her family and friends.
Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory, are her son, Michael Sydoriak and his wife, Phyllis of Gravette, Arkansas, her three daughters; Nancy Lower and her husband, Tom of Port Charlotte, Florida, Patricia Inglese and her husband, Alexander of Watertown, and Judith DeLuca and her husband, Edward of Watertown. She is survived by her adoring 5 grandchildren: Michael ‘David’ Sydoriak of Arkansas, Nicole Molnar and her husband, Craig Cady of Fairfield, Alexandra Inglese of Brooklyn, Danielle Daddona and her husband, Richard of Wolcott, and Isabella Inglese of Springfield, Massachusetts. She also leaves a brother, Frederick Robinson, as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Michael Sydoriak, and her brother, William Robinson.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sydoriak will be held on Friday July 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St. Waterbury, CT 06705. Burial will follow in Saint Mary’s Russian Orthodox Cemetery, Stillson Rd Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with Dorothy’s family on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
