Obituary: Mrs. Simone M. Hansen, 92, formerly of Naugatuck
She was raised in Watertown and lived most of her adult life in Naugatuck.

WATERTOWN - Mrs. Simone M. (Boucher) Hansen, 92, formerly of Naugatuck, died Sunday, February 14, 2021, at Watertown Convalarium. She was the widow of Otto Hansen.
Simone was born in Waterbury May 19, 1928, daughter of the late Oscar and Corrine (Grenier) Boucher. She was raised in Watertown and lived most of her adult life in Naugatuck. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens, cooking, baking, and crocheting. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed having everyone together. Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving were especially festive and filled with wonderful foods. She will be greatly missed.

Simone leaves three sons, Robert Bebrin and his wife Denise of Oklahoma, John Hansen and his wife Roxanne of Waterbury, and Leo Hansen and his companion Marybeth Vecchiarelli of Naugatuck; two daughters, Marie Grillo and her husband Jeff of Watertown and Susan Orvetz and her husband Dave of North Carolina; a brother, Roland Boucher of Waterbury; a brother-in-law, Patrick Deschaine of Oakville; 13 grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Simone was predeceased by her brother, Leo Boucher, and sister, Irene Deschaine.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning, 10 a.m., at St. John the Evangelist Church, 574 Main St. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial is private. There are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hickcox Funeral Home, 195 Main St.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to Susan G. Komen New England or The American Cancer Society.
