Obituary: Nancy Ann Daniels, 67, of Waterbury

Waterbury, CT - Nancy Ann Daniels, 67, died peacefully June 10, 2022 at her home.

Nancy was born January 31, 1955 in Bridgeport, CT daughter of the late George and Rose Marie (DeFrancisco) Wilson. Nancy was raised in Bridgeport where she graduated from Warren Harding High School and went on to earn an Associate’s Degree from Housatonic Community College.

Nancy formerly lived in Naugatuck, where she proudly raised her children, and for the past 22 years she lived in Waterbury. Nancy worked most of her career for various companies in customer service, retiring in 2017. Nancy enjoyed making jewelry, making people laugh and lending an ear to her friends, but most importantly she loved spending time with her 2 granddaughters.

Nancy is survived by her son and daughter in law, Aron and Christina Daniels of Naugatuck; her granddaughters, Laila Daniels of Naugatuck and Lyla Creaven of Waterbury and her sister, Margaret Whelan of Waterbury. In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased in 2017 by her daughter, Jessica Daniels.

A Celebration of Nancy’s Life will be held on Friday from 6:00 to 7:30pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. In lieu of flowers, donations to benefit Nancy’s 9 year old granddaughter, Lyla Creaven are requested to gofund.me/ac81bef6.
