Obituary: Nancy Jane Oliver, 70, of Watertown

She worked in the cafeterias of the Watertown school system for over 20 years, retiring as the manager of the high school cafeteria.

WATERTOWN, CT- Nancy Jane Oliver, 70, of Watertown passed away peacefully at home Tuesday May 23, 2023. She was the wife of William G. Oliver for 46 years.
Nancy was born June 27, 1952, in Waterbury, daughter of the late George and Anna (King) Boivin. She worked in the cafeterias of the Watertown school system for over 20 years, retiring as the manager of the high school cafeteria. Nancy loved cooking and spending time with her grandchildren and her cat Princess. She and Bill went on many wonderful vacations. Nancy especially enjoyed the cruises they took together.
Along with her husband, Nancy is survived by her daughters, Amanda Zorena and her husband Joseph, Victoria Simpson and her husband David, her son Edward Oliver and his husband Chris Cole; her brothers Roger Boivin and his wife Sharon, Ronald Boivin and Dennis Boivin and his wife Fran; and her grandchildren Steven Simpson, Bryan Simpson, Alivia Zorena and Isabella Zorena.
Besides her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her brothers George Boivin, Arthur Boivin, Donald Boivin, and her sisters Joann Charette and Linda Battick.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday May 31, 2023, at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 574 Main St. Watertown, followed by entombment in Mount Olivet Cemetery 669 Platt Rd. in Watertown. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hickcox Funeral Home.
