Obituary: Penelope “Penny” (Wityak) DiBenedictis, 84, of Naugatuck
Penny was a lifelong resident of Naugatuck, graduating Naugatuck High School, and eventually settling down with her loving husband, Vincent.

Naugatuck: Penelope “Penny” (Wityak) DiBenedictis, age 84 of Naugatuck, beloved wife of the late Vincent DiBenedictis, entered peaceful rest on Thursday, April 20, 2023 in Waterbury Hospital.
Born in Waterbury on January 22, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Mance and Stella (Adamski) Wityak.

Penny was a lifelong resident of Naugatuck, graduating Naugatuck High School, and eventually settling down with her loving husband, Vincent.
She worked for many years at the UniRoyal Rubber Factory and was an elected officer of the UniRoyal’s Ladies Club. She was an excellent and passionate cook, enjoyed gardening, and was a devoted Hallmark Channel watcher.

Survivors include her loving, devoted and selfless “adopted” family and neighbors; Kimberlee Simko and her late husband Robert, whom she considered her “children”; “grandchildren”, Zachary and Alexis Simko; her adoring brother-in-law Thomas DiBenedictis, who she and Vincent helped to raise and considered a son; many dear friends, as well as her beloved pets, especially her cats.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held DIRECTLY on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 10:30 am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St. Naugatuck, CT 06770. Relatives and friends can greet the family from 10 am until the time of services in the church. Committal will follow in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck.
