PROSPECT - Mr. Raffaele “Ralph” R. Rinaldi, 91, of 12 Saunders Lane, Prospect, entered into the gates of Heaven on Friday, August 20, 2021 at Waterbury Hospital after a short illness. He was the beloved husband of Lillian K. (Adamy) Rinaldi.

Ralph was born in Waterbury on June 19, 1930, son of the late Raffaele and Gentile (Pascolutti) Rinaldi. He graduated from Leavenworth High School class of 1948. He proudly served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a self-employed electronic technician under the name of R.R. TV of Prospect for many years until his retirement in 1995. For over fifty years he loved spending his summers with family at the Jersey Shore. He and his wife Lil were members of the Cross of Christ Lutheran Church 1555 Hamilton Avenue, Waterbury. He was a former member of the Pontelandolfo Community Club.


Besides his wife Lil of 64 years, he leaves to honor and cherish his memory; 2 sons, Ralph M. Rinaldi and his wife Maria of Kernersville, NC and Michael R. Rinaldi and his wife Nancy of Bristol; a son-in-law, Robert Attenello of Enfield, CT; a sister, Mary D’Abramo of Southport, NC; 4 grandchildren, Katherine Rinaldi of Tallahassee, FL, Christopher Giustina of Plymouth, MA, Michelle Giustina of Boston, MA, and Graciella Rinaldi of Kernersville, NC; 3 step grandchildren, Brittany Rosado-Doolan and her husband Matthew of Bristol, Brianna Rosado of Berlin and Bethany Rosado of Bristol; six step great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Lillian K. Attenello, a brother, Anthony Lanosa, and a sister, Margaret Lawless.


Arrangements: A funeral service will be held Thursday August 26, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Cross of Christ Lutheran Church with Jeanette “Momma J” Harris officiating. The funeral will end at the close of the service. Final disposition is at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home 430 Chase Parkway has been entrusted with the arrangements.
