Obituary: Ralph J. Tuccillo, Sr., Formerly of Prospect

A graduate of Kaynor Technical School, Ralph was a longtime partner of his family business, General Boring Inc. in Prospect.

RALPH. J. TUCCILLO, SR.
“Loving husband, father and grandfather”

Ralph J. Tuccillo, Sr., formerly of New Hartford, CT and longtime resident of Prospect, CT entered the gates of Heaven on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at the Lutheran Home of Southbury with his loving wife Margaret (Palomba) Tuccillo of 63 years by his side.

Ralph was born in Waterbury on May 20, 1938, a son of the late Ralph R. and Aurelie Germaine (Hamel) Tuccillo. He was a graduate of Kaynor Technical School. Prior to his retirement, Ralph was a longtime partner of his family business, General Boring Inc. in Prospect. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loving grandchildren, going to their many sports and school events. He loved to read and search the internet, country music, camping, and looked forward to vacations with his family.

Besides his loving wife, Margaret, he leaves a son, Ralph J. Tuccillo Jr. of Meriden, his three loving grandchildren, Justin, Melissa, Jake Tatsapaugh and a son-in-law, Randy Tatsapaugh all of New Hartford, his sister-in-law, Donna Palomba of Oakville and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Especially Teena Nixon of New Preston, who was always there for him, and her daughter, Bianca Aronson and her husband, Joey, and their children, Bryce and Owen all of Virginia. He was predeceased by his loving daughter, Donna Marie (Tuccillo) Tatsapaugh, his brother, Daniel Tuccillo and his sister-in-law, Helen (Doner) Tuccillo, and a brother-in-law, Pasquale “Tucco” Palomba.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at the Lutheran Home of Southbury for their compassion and care given to Ralph during his stay.

Arrangements: A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury. A calling hour will be held Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. till the time of the service at the funeral home.
