Obituary: Raymond Johnstone, 86, Of Prospect
He was retired after working for many years as a toolmaker at Risdon Mfg./FMP in Naugatuck.

Mr. Raymond L. Johnstone, age 86, of Prospect passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 7, 2022, at Waterbury Hospital after a brief illness. He was the loving husband for 59 years of the late Julie A. (DiLaurenzio) Johnstone.
Mr. Johnstone was born May 11, 1936, in New Haven son of the late Raymond and Mary (King) Johnstone. He was retired after working for many years as a toolmaker at Risdon Mfg./FMP in Naugatuck and was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Naugatuck. He enjoyed traveling, especially to Aruba every year for almost 30 years with his wife, was an avid outdoorsman who loved birds and all animals but most of all he cherished his family.

Mr. Johnstone proudly served his country in Korea as a member of the United States Army.
Mr. Johnstone is survived by his children: Kathleen T. Johnstone of Quincy, MA, Sherri A. Corona and her husband Joe of Naugatuck and Raymond C. Johnstone and his wife Cheryl of Oakville, his grandchildren: Stephen Corona and his wife Skylar, Evan Corona, Cassandra Johnstone and Ryan Johnstone, his four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He will also be truly missed by his cat Betsy.

Arrangements - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday December 12, 2022, at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Naugatuck. Relatives and friends who wish to attend are asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial with full Army honors will be in Prospect Cemetery in Prospect. There are no calling hours.
The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck is assisting Mr. Johnstone’s family with arrangements. Contributions in Mr. Johnstone’s memory may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society 701 Russell Road Newington, CT 06111.
