He was a chef, having worked for the Berkshire Cafe before owning his own business, Berkshire West, later retired from Scarpelli's.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Raymond Lanthier on January 4th, 2024 at Saint Mary's Hospital. Raymond was born in Torrington on August 8th, 1963, to the late Raymond and Mary McLaughlin Lanthier, he was a chef, having worked for the Berkshire Cafe before owning his own business, Berkshire West. He later retired from Scarpelli's Restaurant.
He was the life of the party and could make anyone laugh by telling a joke or playing a prank.

Ray leaves behind his daughters and their significant others whom he loved and cherished dearly, Tasha Lanthier and James Lunnie, Kaylah Lanthier and Peter Lowe, Kristene and Edisson Chimbo. He also leaves behind his sisters and their significant others, Donna and Dave Mariano, Debra Wibly, Patricia and Michael LaRosa, Kathy McGrane and Tony Chanfrau.
He will also be remembered as the best Papa around to his eight grandchildren who loved him dearly.

In addition to his daughters and sisters, he will be missed by many nieces and nephews and Olivia Mendoza and Sara Jacques who he loved as his own children.
