Richard Harvey Ratkiewich, 78, of Prospect, died peacefully on December 21st, 2022, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury.

Richard, son of the late Thomas and Alice (Hanks) Ratkiewich, was born in Waterbury June 22nd, 1944. He was a graduate of Northeastern University with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design. He also earned an advanced degree from the ArtCenterCollege of Design, California. He was an inventor and worked as a design engineer. He was credited with several patents. He was also a car enthusiast.

Richard leaves numerous cousins and friends.
