WATERBURY, CT - Mr. Richard L. Pagano, 87, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, December 21, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Theresa A. (Catapano) Pagano.

Rich was born in Waterbury on May 17, 1933, the son of the late Julius Ceasar & Anna (Carozza) Pagano. He was a graduate of Crosby High School where he excelled in football. He boxed as a welter weight at the YMCA for several years. He attended 1 year at Fairfield University before entering the U.S. Army serving his country honorably during the Korean Conflict. He was the owner/operator of J.C. Pagano Construction Company for over 60 years until his retirement. Rich had a very strong work ethic, enjoyed traveling with his wife and most importantly spending time with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. A music and movie enthusiast, he could be heard singing a mile away. Rich was an avid lifelong Red Sox and UCONN girls basketball fan.
Besides his loving wife, Theresa, of 64 years, he leaves his children; Lisa Dreher and her husband, Rick, of Bethlehem, Richard J. Pagano and his wife Teresa, of Southington, and Susan Farrell and her husband, James, of Wolcott; 6 grandchildren, Travis (Valerie), Eric (Abigail), Emily (Matthew), Alexa (Ryan), Michael, and Erika (Ronnie); 5 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Ann Lee.

Arrangements: Funeral will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2020, 10:00 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury to Mary Mother of the Church Parish ~ SS. Peter & Paul Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial with full military honors will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. A calling hour will be held Wednesday, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
