WATERTOWN- Richard William Louis Bellerive 72, of Watertown, passed away on December 27th 2022, at Waterbury Hospital with his devoted wife, who was also his best friend, by his side. Ricky lost his battle to a variety of complicated health issues and fought courageously until the very end. He made sure his family knew how much he loved them and they returned the favor and stood by his side until he transitioned into the next chapter. He will be deeply missed.

Ricky was born in Manchester, NH on April 7th, 1950, the son of the late Arthur Richard Bellerive and Violet Hornbecker. He is survived by many family and friends, including his spouse, of 56 years, Jaqueline (Fenn) Bellerive; and daughter Jodi Sicotte and her husband Kevin. He was predeceased by his daughter Tina DiCarlo, but leaves behind Tina's three sons, Kevin Winkelmann and his long-time companion Danielle Hillman, Cory Winkelmann and his long-time companion Hannah Donais and his youngest grandson Michael DiCarlo. Ricky also leaves behind his devoted dog Maisey Mae of 15 years, who misses him dearly, and his sister Joan Rhodes. He was also predeceased by his brother Joseph Jarvis, and mother- and father-in-law Anna and Bill Fenn. There is no doubt Ricky had an army of pets, family, and friends waiting for him at his next chapter.

Ricky worked for the Watertown Public School system for over 30 years. He enjoyed going for long scenic rides with his wife, fishing, and boating, with family and friends. He taught scuba diving in his younger years and was in a bowling league for many years. He enjoyed traveling when he was younger but as time passed he enjoyed mostly sitting on his back porch with his wife and dogs by his side. We can’t forget he was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan and Nascar supporter. Ricky loved the outdoors and felt peace when he was in nature. His favorite thing to do was mow the lawn, and work in his yard, which he was very particular about.

Arrangements: Calling hours will be held Monday, January 2nd from 4-6 p.m. at the Hickcox Funeral Home, 195 Main Street, Watertown. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at All Saints with Christ Episcopal Church, 262 Main Street, Oakville, followed by burial in Evergreen Cemetery, North Street, Watertown.
