Obituary: Robert J. Ihle, 71, of Naugatuck
He worked as a registered nurse in the emergency room at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury as well as a trader on Wall Street.

Naugatuck-Robert J. Ihle, age 71, beloved husband of Dalean (Whitten) Ihle, passed away on Saturday December 3, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by his family.
He was born in Rockville Center, NY on June 3, 1951, son of the late Wilmot and Catherine (Quinn) Ihle. Robert was raised in Unionville, NY, and had worked as a registered nurse in the emergency room at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury. He received his nursing degree in 2007. He most recently had worked at Naugatuck Valley Surgical Center. Robert worked as a trader on Wall Street. He had worked at Citibank, and was also a lineman for Verizon for many years. He enjoyed sudoku and solving crossword puzzles.
Besides his wife Dalean of eleven years, Robert is survived by his step son John (Autumn) Croce; his siblings, Richard (Sherri) Ihle, Virginia (George) Aluskewicz, Barbara (John) Elliott, and Janet Ihle; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Rosemarie Occhini.
Visitation will be held on Thursday December 8, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery in Naugatuck.
